Registration
Membership schemes:
Those buying a Day Card are entitled to use the collections and the services of the Library but may not borrow books. (Proof of identity and postal address in Hungary are necessary.)
Those buying a Borrower Card are entitled to use all the services of the Library including borrowing privileges.
Documents required for obtaining a Borrower Card

| Regular students of other universities / colleges being citizens of the European Economic Area | Identification, proof of address in Hungary* and valid student card |
| Regular students of other universities / colleges being foreign citizens from outside the European Economic Area | Identification, proof of address in Hungary*, valid student card and a surety agreement with a Hungarian citizen together with his/her income certificate** |
| Hungarians and citizens of the European Economic Area over 18 | Identification and proof of address in Hungary |
| Foreign citizens from outside the European Economic Area | Passport or residence permit, proof of Hungarian home address and a surety agreement with a Hungarian citizen together with his/her income certificate** |
*Acceptable proof of home address is an official residence card or a residential lease agreement or a student hostel accommodation agreement.
**Surety can be any Hungarian person over 18 having regular income, verified by the employer. Acceptable proof of income is the latest salary account of the guarantor.
